I do think I followed the rules that I gave myself in this post, because I ended up enjoying The Chamber of Secrets way more than I remembered. It’s been awhile…

Well, it’s been awhile. You know when you keep telling yourself you’re going to do something today, tomorrow, next week for sure, then six months have flown by without you doing that one thing? Yeah, that’s kinda what happened here. Work got busy. My hours changed. Thus, this blog got put on the back burner until I was able to calibrate my new schedule. Review: The Secret History of Wonder Woman

As I mentioned in my teaser post for this book, I actually picked up this copy toward the end of last year and began reading it shortly thereafter. For some reason, I put it down but with the movie coming out, I knew I should finish it up. While I wasn’t able to finish it before seeing the movie, I breezed through the final pages and actually learned some interesting things about Wonder Woman, her creator, and her hushed beginnings.  Continue reading

With the premiere of Wonder Woman this past weekend, I thought it would be appropriate to bring up a book that I started reading at the end of last year, put away for a while, and finally started reading again. June Reading Goals

After a dismal month in May, I really want to beef up my reading so I can finish the second half of the year on a strong note. I’ve personally told myself that I want to finish my Harry Potter reread this summer, but I’m trying not to hold myself to that goal in a strict sense. Perhaps I’m feeling uninspired recently, but I think rereading Harry Potter is helping. I might take a trip to the used bookstore this weekend or B&N for a quick browsing. I’m sure there are some great new releases coming out this summer, but if you have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate them!
